SAFELOOP 4th General Assembly meeting in Kayseri, Türkiye

SAFELOOP held its 4th General Assembly Meeting in Kayseri, Türkiye, on 12–14 February 2026. The consortium was warmly welcomed by our hosts at ASPİLSAN Energy, who opened the doors of their production facilities to the SAFELOOP partners and provided a comprehensive tour of their Li-ion battery assembly line. The visit offered valuable insight into large-scale battery manufacturing processes and reinforced the strong collaboration within the consortium.

Now past the midpoint of the project, partners presented substantial technical results, demonstrating clear progress across all Work Packages. The co-creation process and the interlinkages between different activities—crucial for delivering SAFELOOP’s end product—were more evident than ever. Two intensive days of fruitful discussions enabled alignment on priorities, timelines, and the next substancial steps toward implementation.

On the third and final day, our hosts organized a visit to the region of Cappadocia, a place known for its unique natural beauty, breathtaking landscapes, ancient cave dwellings, and iconic hot air balloon views. The visit provided an inspiring conclusion to a highly productive and forward-looking General Assembly meeting.
