SAFELOOP took center stage at the prestigious Kokkola Material Week 2025, held in Kokkola, Finland from November 9–13.

The project was proudly represented by its coordinators from the University of Oulu, demonstrating our commitment to advancing materials science. The international event—known for its high-level coverage of the chemical, bio-economy, and mineral economy sectors—provided an ideal platform to engage with key stakeholders.

Dr. Pekka Tynjälä, representing the Sustainable Chemistry Department at the University of Oulu, delivered an insightful presentation. Dr. Tynjälä highlighted SAFELOOP’s main goals, key innovations, and unique selling points, detailing how our project is contributing cutting-edge solutions to the material economy challenge. Our presence at this major event reinforces SAFELOOP's role as a leading innovator in safe, sustainable and robust battery products.
